Meem م represents the four-letter acronym, MMMM, consisting of queer terminology developed by activists from the Arabic-speaking region in the late 90s in an effort to replace the pejorative terms used to historically harm queer and trans folks.

ميم هو حرف يشير إلى اختصار أربع كلمات تبدأ بحرف الميم: مثلي، مزدوج، متحول ومتحيّر، تم إطلاقه من قبل ناشطي المنطقة الناطقة باللغة العربية في أواخر التسعينات في محاولة منهم لاستبدال الكلمات المسيئة لمُختلفي الميول الجنسية بمصطلحات تحترم اختلافهم واعتمادها للإشارة إليهم.
